We capitalise on the fact that our children have the opportunity of hearing and speaking French in Mauritius, and teach the language at a higher level than would normally be covered by an English school., French is introduced in Levels 1 and 2 on an oral basis only. It is taught more formally, as a second language, in Levels 3, 4, 5 and 6, where the children learn to read and write as well as speak in French.

Classes are divided into core and extended groups to differentiate between pupils who have little or no knowledge of French and those who are already familiar with the language.
