Music
Singing, rhythm, simple percussion and music and movement are taught in all classes. In addition, the children are introduced to a wide range of Western musical styles, including classical, folk, popular, jazz, blues and country and western as well as to music from non-Western cultures. This is designed to extend the pupils' musical experience and knowledge and to inculcate an appreciation of diverse musical genres.
The course also covers knowledge of the different musical instruments forming part of the orchestra and of the lives of several famous classical composers.
